  • 2x4 pine boards (2) - Cut to 12 inches long
  • Wood glue
  • Clamps
  • 1-inch wood screws
  • Drill
  • Countersink bit
  • Sandpaper
  • Polyurethane

Instructions

Step 1: Assemble the Base

  • Apply wood glue to the ends of the 1x12 boards.
  • Clamp the glued edges together and drill two 1-inch wood screws through each joint.
  • Countersink the screws slightly below the surface of the wood.
  • Repeat this process to assemble the other side of the base.

Step 2: Attach the Legs

  • Apply wood glue to the ends of the 2x4 legs.
  • Align the legs with the inside corners of the base, and clamp them in place.
  • Drill two 1-inch wood screws through each leg into the base.
  • Countersink the screws slightly below the surface of the wood.

Step 3: Sand and Finish

  • Sand the entire table smooth using 120-grit sandpaper.
  • Wipe away the dust with a clean cloth.
  • Apply one coat of polyurethane to the entire table, following the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Allow the polyurethane to dry completely before using the table.
